As the moon rises above Falathorn.. (IC rp to follow)
The doors of the kinhall are slowly opened. A bright light inside is interrupted by the shape of a lady slowly and calmy walk out of the doors. She begins to look around, side to side, and then she makes a slow but definative look up in the sky.
The night shines down upon Falathorn, the moon is bright, and the stars are a beauty beyond compare. The lady is revealed to be the elf Andoi Silivrenniel of Nuin Giliath, a long-time member now living in the kinhall. Leaving the doors open she walks gently down the path and breathes deeply, taking the clean air and speaking in the tongues of Elves, about many different deeds of the kin, before arriving at a large stone piece not far down the path. This stone has been placed quite recently, and is flat and lies slanted. Reaching into her bag she grasps a chissel and mallet, kneels and lit by the light from inside the kinhall begins to slowly carve into it a poem she wrote...
May light forever shine on your path,
Ye kindred of Nuin Giliath,
Any righteousness that ever falls
Can be redeemed within our halls,
For we are the light: in the night
And honour we forever hold upright.
No fear of pain nor lament of battle scars
Could ever break our vigil, Under the Stars.
Lady Andoi then stands and recites the poem in a clear voice before proudly making her way back inside the Hall. As she reaches the doors, with a warm smile she slowly closes them both and the light from inside is shut off. Yet at all times this text can be read because under the stars of Falathorn, the light is as bright as the sun itself...
Andoi wrote on the notes of the poem found inside the kinhall "This poem on the stone will serve as a reminder to all of the Kin, and any who are blessed to enter our halls that even if the world came to ruin, we in Nuin Giliath would hold our valour until the end and that we must all be proud of the work we have done in building our house...And by house I do not just mean this building... For I stay [in middle-earth] for my sister and for the rest of Nuin Giliath...."
((A little [very] late night patriotic NG roleplay, hope you like it =]))

As the moon shines once again over Falathorn, a solitary figure emerges from the kinhall, turns and looks for a brief moment back at the building, and all that it contains. Not the furniture, not even the trophies, though some are more insistant at gaing attention than others. Even the tentacles seem to beckon tonight. Tonight, the kinhall is ablaze with memories of the good times, the parties, the laughter.
She turns and walks down the path and stops. Gazing once more at the words inscribed on stone, she inscribes a few signs in the air, and murmurs under her breath.
"Give them strength, give them the light of the brightest to shine upon their paths and show them the way. Give them hope. Give them glory. Give them victory. And give them love that they know truly what they fight for."
She leaves swiftly then, so that only the stars will see her tears this night.

Bah, at least you only have one eye to wipe Fafnir. I had to tell the wife that I had a bit of dirt in each eye and that the red nose was from too much brandy over the years.

I'd just carve, "We Rock!" into a stone and leave a barrel of ale next to it
