I would like to.....
I would like to redecorate kinhouse and garden. At the moment they look like a mess. If anyone is willing to help me to choose right items, colors and music I am more than happy to share the pain. We can finally see what were the pictures Miktho hide from Alqua about a year ago...
My plan is to move all that horror stuf we have into a one room if possible... rest of the area will get some elegance to itself.
(What I really would like is to move all the horror trophies to a separate house, but there is none free at our kin neighbourhood. Or would this be too extreme? We could allways fill them to Sulegils cottage nearby... *grins*)

Re: I would like to.....
Oddly enough Viny I was going to suggest a while back that perhaps we look at rehousing . . .
Gasp !
There is another neighbourhood in the same place but with all/most fo the housing free.
I we relocate most of in can live by the kin house.
I currently find it useful as you get 2 timers for your house own and kin
What do people think?

I was first going to reply that I will certainly go with the majority vote, but that mine would be to stay as we are (I feel attached to the place).
Then I realised that we could have an identical building and possibly even the same location in another housing instance (if available of course).
So I suppose my vote is that if we do move I would like a place as similar to the current one as possible. Then the same kind of roleplaying / suspension of disbelief that allows us to accept the the insane geometry of Turbine's Moria will allow me to pretend we have always lived there!
That said, if the halflings of the Kin wish to rise up and demand we move to the Shire, they have every right to do so.

Well, if there is any interest in moving to Man or Hobbit housing I'm behind it 100%.

Re: I would like to.....
hehe, I see I am not only one concerned of our kin's good looks. Are we sure we want to debate of wich racial area we should stay? I myself have been planning to leave Bree, it is not proper place for Miktho's studies. Or so he says. I am biased between Shire and Celondim. I have never tryed housing in Shire and I am sure there are good opportunities to experiment with gardening. On the otherhand I love the tall houses of elves and would like to move there too.
On kinhouse matter I would prefer staying in elven lands. Shire housing areas are beutifull, but I think elven lands fit better for our kin. Personally I have never liked dwarven dwellings and only bought the house in Bree because of easier traveling when I was educating Miktho and Turms.
Do we need to create a poll of this?
Are people willing to move to same neigbourhood with eachother?

Re: I would like to.....
I have checked the area and there are many clones of our village but with extra kin houses and many empty properties.
For my part -
1. My main is an Elf and for rp I like to live in an elven environment
2. I feel the kin has Elven roots [name etc]
3. I love the scenery where we are
Therefore I would be very happy if we moved to the same place but with more room for kin to live.
Some of the other kin houses are very nice too.

To be honest, I prefer hobbit environments, but, as Salogel said, the origin of the kin is based on elven lore, so RP-wise an elven kinhouse is fully acceptable as it is

Re: I would like to.....
Well I must say that I base my home on convenience of getting to other locations.
As Flamebeard I can map back to Erid Luin, I have my map home set to the 21st hall and my house in Bree allows me to be very central, especially as is is shared with Dantus whose origins are human.
Personally I would love the kin house to be a nice hobbit hole somewhere and then I could port to another set of lands once an hour!
And from a cost point of view I can't really afford to move right now anyway!

Nonsense. I just sponsored you the other day by buying that shield you had crafted!

I have always secretly cherished the hope that our kinship might move to a different area.
It is interesting how many posts there are saying that the hobbit lands might be an option. Perhaps it might be something that a lot of people might enjoy, even if they had not put it as their first choice?

Myself I have little attachment to the kin house in elven lands other than a few fond memories. It is true our roots were elven, but they were laid down well before there was housing available. My attachment is to the people of the kin and if moving somewhere new means more interaction between us, then I am all for it. I am sitting firmly on the fence with this one!

And I thought that you'd done it for my birthday on Friday!
In fairness you helped my buy my final bank chest to relieve my burgeoning backpacks!

It is sad to see kinsmen having to rely on Ah, when there is crafters who would more than happily be doing needed equipment almost free (flake recommended if crafter is Bregowine).

I bought a house near Bree for travelling convenience, but moving to the shire has almost same effect, you can get to a lot of places for 1s from the nearby Michel Delving travelling location with quick travel.
I could live anywhere with you fine people, so actually I don't care that much where it is. A cozy hobbit-hole is as nice a place as any.
