Re: Record of Kin members equipment from Moria Instances
Tiersatiffany was minding her own business hunting Orcs yesterday afternoon when some people came along looking for a Minstrel to travel to the The Forges of Khazad Dum. I thought there would be no harm in trying (I had not been with a pure PUG for a long time, I suppose time really does heal all wounds
).
It was unbelievable. After completing it with Kin several times in one week not so long ago... it felt like a whole different level of challenge.
It's almost as though the whole situation had been contrived... is it really possible for that many bad fellowship cliches to occur all at one time? Every time the leader began to give a warning such as 'please go no further at the bottom so we can regenerate a little', before he reached the end of the sentence someone had done exactly what he had requested they do not.
I did manage to see the funny side from my position, and though I usually find harsh language very much out of place in game, in this case I did not blame the leader for typing a few expletives (which were not directed at anyone).
So the sad lesson of my tale is that PUG's are as bad as they ever were. I myself have had some surprisingly pleasant experiences with them from time to time, but must remember that is an exception and not a rule.
So.... can we muster a few fellows to visit The Forges of Khazad Dum this week? Wednesday would be the best for me. I think we only have a handful of members who still need armour from there, so if we can make a few visits... then we can perhaps move onto somewhere else with determination next week and clear them down one by one.
To begin with I will say Wedneday at 21:00. Please post below if you can make it and I shall add to the list.
1. Tiersatiffany
2. Edgemoor / Ansalgar
3. Lachlan / Langfel
4. Sina / Renn
5. Vinyalindo (and others - easier than typing all characters
)
6. Bregowine

Edge or Ans as required. In fact why don't we either have several forges runs or other instances to get other armour for kin at same time?
I will reserve Wednesday for kins runs, and not get involved in any other groups.

Thanks Edge,
I will also keep the evening free. Maybe we could squeeze in a fair few runs and get everyone a piece of two of what they still need.
I think we can be sure of success at the Forges, Grand Stair and maybe even Skumfil with a good mix of Kin. The 16th Hall may be a bit less certain, but I am sure we will do well with that one soon too (last weeks attempt certainly wasn't a bad one).
I almost forgot Fil Gashan.... we were doing a fairly certain job of that under Sina's careful guidance a few weeks ago too.
Let's not say too much about the other place quite yet.

Fafnir, I am starting to really feel an itch to have a few tabletop sessions again myself.
I cannot decide if I should get out the D&D 3.0 books (the latest I have), or maybe even delve back into the old second Edition which I was rather fond of. It would probably take me longer to turn myself back to 2nd after playing 3.0 for a while a few years back though.

Re: Record of Kin members equipment from Moria Instances
Got full set (at least tier 1)...
I would like to help, but unfortunatelly 21:00 is too late for me.
As you probably know I like to raid, and my raid group is usually going to DN/Watcher/Helegrod/Rift at about 19:30 UK. To be honest - almost everyday.
BUT there are lot of days when Im on at about 17:30 UK, and have about 2 hours which I will happily spend with you.
Or we could set up some days only for kin runs. I think tuesday and saturday should be good for this?

Re: Record of Kin members equipment from Moria Instances
I understand the time restrictions all too well Cycorus. In a few weeks I am likely to be much more restricted again myself (I have had it fairly easy of late).
Some of us are on earlier from time to time. If people who can make the odd 17:30 run post in this thread, maybe we can get something organised.
I could certainly put aside a Saturday afternoon for a few things if others are also interested.

Thats great news Aloisa ! I am looking forward to our kin run
Although I am happy to step down to allow someone else to get their radiance pieces. I think Flame and Dantus need a few, so they may want to go on the runs.
